Project Spotlight: Long Lake Whole-Home Remodel
Some homes don’t need more square footage—they need a smarter layout. That was the goal behind the Long Lake Whole-Home Remodel, where nearly every room was thoughtfully reimagined to better support everyday living while preserving the home’s timeless saltbox colonial character.
By reworking the existing floor plan, underutilized formal spaces were transformed into functional living areas, including relocating the home office to the main level for added convenience. Interior doorways were shifted to improve flow, the rear entry was redesigned to create better circulation, and a dividing wall was removed to fill the home with natural light and create a more open, connected living space.
The renovation continued throughout the home with a refreshed primary ensuite and hall bathroom upstairs, while the lower level was enhanced with new windows and improved functionality. The result is a cohesive, timeless home designed to meet the needs of modern living while honoring its original architectural style.
