Lower-Level Remodel

In collaboration with the homeowner’s designer and our trusted trade partners, this lower-level remodel transformed an underutilized space into a destination inspired by a dark, moody European pub. Rich finishes and intentional design choices create a warm, inviting atmosphere while elevating the overall character of the home.

Designed to go beyond a typical walk-up bar, the space functions as a fully realized, hospitality-driven environment. With the homeowner’s background as a bartender, the layout was refined to optimize flow, functionality, and the overall experience—resulting in a space that performs as well as it looks.

• Reconfigured cabinetry layout to improve functionality and maximize usable space
• Framed and constructed designated zones, including a wine storage area
• Built and installed sliding barn doors to enclose a flexible-use playroom
• Integrated layered lighting, including task and ambient fixtures, to enhance usability and atmosphere
• Installed custom cabinetry and millwork to support a fully functional bar setup including a kegorator
• Installation of faux beams and textured wallpaper created visual interest and character
